Grace Church at Pleasant Valley (Mission)

The United Methodist Church at Pleasant Valley, WV, after being closed for a year was purchased in October 2009,
by the Upper Ohio Valley Baptist Association for the purpose of a new church plant.
Following God’s call Rev. Dan Cook became the church planter at this location.
The name of the church was soon changed to Grace Church at Pleasant Valley. Dan and his wife Crystal went to
work with the help of the Upper Ohio Valley Baptist Association.
Some exciting things took place. The church now had a sign in place with the church name.
Mission teams were scheduled to come in April and August of 2010 to do construction, door-to-door survey work and VBS.
They were averaging 21 people per Sunday for morning worship.
God blessed the work that was taking place at the church. Three mission teams came to help with the construction that was needed.
These teams were from Asheville, NC, Calhoun, LA, and Open Door Baptist Church in Colliers.
With the help of these three teams all of the jobs were completed.
Church planter, Rev. Dan Cook reports that the church is growing.
